GPG Technical Issues

Appears to be an issue with Tweets embedding. When I paste a Twitter link, I’m being left with the hyperlink rather than the Tweet:

probably because the manchild has changed from twitter.com to x.com

I've posted short videos of my Hedgehogs and Sparrows on the Nature Watch thread.
Both are visible if I view them on my phone, but if I try to watch them on my ChromeBook they don't appear.
No big deal, but just wondering why that might be ?
Any ideas ?

No. Nothing has changed this end. Perhaps a restart your end is the best option. However, not sure that alerts are really meant for stuff that happened days ago. My alerts only go back until yesterday unless I press "Show All" at the bottom of the dropdown. Do you get shown that option too?

Hi Banana. Yes, I get that option but it only goes back to Monday. Odd. I know it's not meant for ancient alerts, but it makes me wonder if I go away whether I'll miss out on alerts.

Mine only go back to Saturday (it is paginated too), so I expect that this is "working as intended".

It's set to lose Alerts after 30 days so not sure why that's not happening.

get a dog and train it to log into the gpg and bark at you for the number of alerts, train it so it remembers exactly how many unread alerts you have and train it to have a sh*t in a certain portion of your garden that corresponds to a matrix that illustrates the level of unread alerts. That's what I do.

I tried that, but used a cat instead. Maybe that's where I fell down as I found it difficult to know whether to count the mews or the purrs.

Try changing your setttings to GPG over 18 only rather than PG

It’s the same on the web version. Probably a temporary glitch, either that or Musk has pulled the API like he did for all the third-party apps.

Just checked and it's not you, it's us. No idea why, almost certainly something changed on the Twitter side. Will need to investigate when I can but not while I'm at work.
